In order to improve its working conditions, the foundry provided its deburring department with a robotic cell intended to trim its cast parts. (September 2009)
Manufactured by the company SIR, our equipment, which is equipped with a robot ABB, was designed to work in autonomy up to 3 hours. The autonomy depends on the size of the part.
The rough parts are set on a turntable
At first, the robot locates the position of the parts thanks to a camera
Then, the parts are grinded by four tools mounted on a turntable and are finally unloaded in a box.
